In Belgrade, Serbia, an Embraer 195LR (OY-GDC) aircraft, operating flight JU324 to Dusseldorf, managed to take off despite having a hole in the fuselage.
The flight was operated by the Greek airline Marathon Airlines, which operates flights for Air Serbia. The plane started its takeoff almost from the middle of the runway and therefore hit the lights, as reported by Tango Six.
The plane circled several times, dumped fuel, and returned to Belgrade airport about an hour later
Passengers were evacuated, no one was injured.
As TravelWise reported, the day before, two Jet Blue planes collided at Boston's Logan Airport, and passengers had to change their plans somewhat due to this incident.
