A woman from Hangzhou, China, recently made headlines when her employer gave her a "mood leave" because she was sad about the lack of snow in the city.
The video of her receiving this unique leave went viral on social media. In the video posted by the woman, she is reportedly seen filling out a leave application, giving a reason: "It doesn't snow in Hangzhou, and I'm upset," News Bytes writes.
Unique vacation rules attract attention
This company offers a variety of non-traditional days off, such as Women's Day and Children's Day, in addition to the usual ones.
The CEO has publicly stated that employees can say "no" to their boss and take "mood leave" if they are unhappy.
"Our boss has made it clear that if an employee is unhappy, they can request this type of leave at any time, and it will not affect their salary or performance bonus," said one employee.
Generous benefits
In China's intense work culture, where employees work from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. six days a week, companies with generous benefits often attract attention.
