Jamaica's efforts are mirrored by other Caribbean nations that have also enhanced their citizens' travel freedoms. For example, Barbados now offers visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 132 countries, making it one of the most powerful passports in the region. This move is part of a broader strategy to promote tourism and international engagement, providing Barbadians with more opportunities to explore, work, and connect globally
Similarly, the Bahamas has also made strides in improving global access for its citizens. With a passport that allows for visa-free travel to over 146 countries, the Bahamas has positioned itself as a leader in the region. This increase in travel freedom not only benefits Bahamians but also strengthens the country’s tourism industry by fostering better international relations and attracting more visitors.
By improving its citizens’ ability to travel freely, Jamaica, along with its Caribbean neighbors, is fostering stronger international connections and promoting its presence in the global community.
