Jumeirah Carlton Tower Unveils Highgrove-Inspired Afternoon Tea
Jumeirah Carlton Tower is launching a new afternoon tea experience inspired by Highgrove House & Gardens, the celebrated gardens developed by His Majesty King Charles III. Starting on June 14, this unique offering will provide guests with a botanically themed afternoon tea that emphasizes sustainability and seasonal British produce.
This new concept elevates the hotel's acclaimed "A Tribute to Nature" afternoon tea. Drawing inspiration from Highgrove's iconic gardens, the experience promises an experimental twist on the classic British tradition. The menu, featuring locally sourced ingredients, showcases imaginative dishes that highlight the rich flavors of nature in England.
Highgrove House & Gardens, cultivated over four decades by His Majesty King Charles III, reflects his personal interests and commitment to sustainability. Jumeirah Carlton Tower's choice of Highgrove as inspiration stems from their admiration for His Majesty's dedication to environmental stewardship, aligning with the hotel's values.
The curated afternoon tea menu includes traditional British savory dishes like coronation chicken sandwiches, honoring the royal connection. Unique scones with flavors such as honey crumble and thyme sour cream celebrate Highgrove's beekeeping efforts. Pastries infused with garden ingredients, such as a rosemary lavender strawberry tart, and royal-inspired cakes like Queen Victoria sponge and fruit cake, complete the menu.
Gianluca Priori, General Manager at Jumeirah Carlton Tower, expressed excitement about the launch, highlighting the use of seasonal produce and British flavors. The hotel looks forward to welcoming guests to enjoy this exclusive offering.
