This year, the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, has introduced a new charge for non-Londoners, a tourist levy. Visitors from other parts of the UK or from abroad will need to pay an additional £15 on top of the regular ticket price. This is in response to the significant costs involved in staging the event, which last year exceeded £4 million, while ticket sales contributed only around £1 million. Ticket prices vary depending on the location of the viewing areas. Prime spots like Westminster Bridge, Waterloo Bridge, and the Victoria Embankment offer some of the best views of the fireworks, but come with a higher price tag: £35 for London residents and £50 for visitors. These areas provide a spectacular view of the London Eye, where the fireworks are launched.

Tickets for the event go on sale starting Friday, 18th October at midday. Due to high demand, tickets typically sell out quickly, so it’s recommended to mark the date and be prepared to purchase them as soon as they become available.
