Looks like a prison cell: tourists complain about a bungalow booked on Airbnb
Traveler Hattie Morton complained about a bungalow on the island of Bali that she booked on Airbnb. The woman shocked the users of the network with photos of expectation/reality and stated that her accommodation looked like a "prison cell".
The tourist shared her negative impressions with Insider. She also gave a tour of the bungalow on TikTok, where the video went viral.
"A gentle reminder: Always triple check your hotels while in Bali in case you end up in the same jail cell we did that night," Morton wrote.
On the website, the traveler and her friend booked a neat, bright and beautifully furnished bungalow, but in reality they saw empty, gray rooms with dirty sheets and damaged furniture.
The tourists were forced to stay in the booked accommodation, although they did not go to bed. Instead, the guests waited out the night sitting on the edge of the bed and then informed the landlords that they would not stay in the bungalow.
The request for a refund was not fully satisfied. The travelers paid about £20 for the first night and then moved to another place.
