Lunar and SAS Partner to Launch Scandinavia's First Debit Card with EuroBonus Points
Lunar and SAS have announced a new partnership to launch Scandinavia's first debit card that earns EuroBonus points on daily purchases. The card, available from June 18, 2024, aims to revolutionize the way Scandinavians earn rewards by integrating Lunar's banking app with SAS' popular loyalty program.
This collaboration combines Lunar’s innovative banking technology with SAS' established EuroBonus program, allowing users to accumulate points on routine expenses like groceries, dining, and various experiences. This initiative reflects a blend of strong Scandinavian heritage and digital innovation, targeting both current and new users in Denmark, Sweden, and Norway.
Ken Villum Klausen, CEO of Lunar, highlighted the partnership's benefits for users, emphasizing their goal to create the best everyday bank in the Nordics. "This collaboration with SAS enables our users to make smarter financial choices and gain more value from their daily spending," Klausen stated.
SAS CEO, Anko van der Werff, expressed excitement about the new opportunities this partnership presents. He noted that the integration allows EuroBonus members to seamlessly earn points through their daily banking activities, anticipating significant program growth and engagement with younger users attracted to Lunar's digital platform.
The new debit card is available to all EuroBonus members and Lunar users across Scandinavia. Non-members can easily sign up for the EuroBonus program via flysas.com, while new users can quickly join Lunar through their app. The card offers both physical and digital formats, providing flexibility and convenience for users.
For every 100 DKK spent using the debit card, users earn 8 EuroBonus points. Additionally, new Lunar users receive 3,000 welcome points, with the first 10,000 users receiving 6,000 points.
Starting June 18, 2024, the card can be ordered through Lunar's banking app, providing a seamless integration of banking and rewards for Scandinavian users.
