Malawi is lifting visa restrictions for citizens of Britain, the USA, and other countries
The Republic of Malawi has announced the abolition of visas for citizens of certain countries, aiming to stimulate tourism and trade. The country's Ministry of Internal Security has approved a list of countries whose citizens will no longer require visas.
These countries include Canada, the United Kingdom, Israel, the United States, New Zealand, China, Australia, France, Germany, and others. Tourism Minister Vera Kamtukule described the move as a "bold leap towards a better future" on Facebook.
The specific duration of visa-free stays has not yet been specified. However, the Malawian government has released the Immigration (Amendment) Regulations, which grant visa-free access to tourists from 79 countries.
Minister Kamtukule emphasized that this decision is not only significant in terms of visas but also unlocks Malawi's untapped potential. "Malawi, the shining heart of Africa, now welcomes travelers from all over the world with open arms," she wrote.
According to Minister Vera Kamtukule, each visa waiver paves the way for new connections, cultural exchanges, and economic opportunities that will enrich Malawi.
