Need a hanger: stewardess showed how to protect yourself from break-ins in a hotel
Flight attendant and blogger Bobbi Smith shared a trick she often uses in her life. She posted a useful video on her LifewitBobbie Instagram account.
In it, Bobbi showed how to make your hotel stay safe. After such a life hack, you can sleep peacefully, writes The Sun.
When you travel alone, you may feel unsafe in a hotel. An improvised lock will help you protect yourself from intrusion.
Bobbi described her trick and showed it in a video:
You need to take two hangers with latches for pants and put one hanger on top of the other. Place the top hanger on the door lock and lock the door. Put the second hanger on top of the first. This way you get a secure lock.
"And if they try to open this door, they won't be able to get through it," the flight attendant said.
The second life hack from Bobbi is if there were no hangers in the hotel room.
She added: "If it doesn't have two hangers, you need to take a towel, put it through the door latch and close it."
In the video, you can see how this trick prevents outsiders from entering the hotel room.
A flight attendant noticed that these simple tricks help you feel better and get a good night's sleep.
These are not the only tricks that are recommended for your safety in a hotel. Earlier, a hotel janitor showed how to attach a towel to the door's clamp by stretching out a hair elastic band.
Another option was shared by another flight attendant, who suggested leaning an ironing board against the door as a means of protection against burglars.
For the skeptics, there is a universal option - a door opener, which should protect you from prying eyes.
