New Bus Route Connects Buxton and Castleton
A new bus service is set to launch, connecting Buxton and Castleton with a scenic route through Dove Holes, Chapel-en-le-Frith, Edale, and Hope. Starting from Sunday, June 30th, the new 62 service will enhance transportation options for both locals and tourists.
The 62 bus service will offer several daily departures. From Buxton to Castleton, buses will leave at 8:25 AM, 12:20 PM, and 3:45 PM. For those traveling from Edale to Castleton, the bus will depart at 10:00 AM, 1:40 PM, and 5:10 PM.
Returning journeys from Castleton to Buxton are scheduled for 10:25 AM, 2:05 PM, and 6:05 PM. Additionally, buses from Castleton to Edale will leave at 9:25 AM, 1:20 PM, and 4:50 PM. These timings provide flexibility for passengers, catering to various schedules throughout the day.
High Peak Buses, the service provider, emphasized the convenience and accessibility of this new route. It aims to serve both daily commuters and tourists exploring the picturesque Peak District. The introduction of this route reflects an effort to improve public transportation options in the area.
