New Evening Buses on Irwell Line and Hotline Starting July 21
Starting July 21, travelers in Lancashire have new evening bus services on the Irwell Line and Hotline, thanks to a partnership with the Lancashire County Council. The Hotline service, which previously offered late Friday buses, will now operate additional services Monday through Thursday. Buses will depart from Blackburn to Preston at 9:18 PM and 10:18 PM, with return trips from Preston to Blackburn at 10:00 PM and 11:00 PM, six days a week.
For the Irwell Line 481, new journeys will be introduced between Blackburn and Rawtenstall at 7:47 PM, 9:17 PM, and 10:47 PM. Buses will return from Rawtenstall to Blackburn at 8:36 PM and 10:06 PM, with an additional trip to Haslingden at 11:36 PM.
To accommodate these changes, other times on the Irwell Line will be adjusted slightly. The route will include a diversion between Helmshore and Rawtenstall, passing through Edenfield before continuing to Bury. This may result in slightly longer travel times.
These changes are set to greatly benefit travelers, providing more flexible and frequent travel options throughout Lancashire. Whether returning from a late evening out in Preston or heading back to Blackburn after exploring Rawtenstall, these new services make evening travel more accessible and convenient.
Travelers are encouraged to check the updated schedules and plan their journeys accordingly. The new evening services offer more flexibility and convenience, ensuring that public transport meets the demands of modern travel.
For more information, travelers can visit the bus company's website or contact customer service for detailed schedules and updates. This new development marks a significant step towards enhancing travel connectivity within Lancashire.
