New Haunted Mansion Parlor Unveiled Aboard Disney Treasure
In a spine-tingling revelation, Disney Cruise Line has announced the debut of the Haunted Mansion Parlor aboard the Disney Treasure. This eerie addition to the cruise ship promises to captivate guests with its blend of nostalgia and maritime mystery.
Set to open its doors on the maiden voyage scheduled for Dec. 21, the Haunted Mansion Parlor pays homage to the iconic Disneyland attraction. Drawing inspiration from the original Haunted Mansion lore, the Parlor introduces a new chapter in the saga of the mysterious sea captain and his enigmatic bride-to-be.
Crafted by Disney Imagineers, the Parlor will transport guests to a bygone era, immersing them in the tale of the sea captain and his lost love. Through meticulously designed decor and interactive elements, visitors will unravel the secrets of the parlor and uncover clues surrounding the couple's fateful disappearance.
Highlights of the Haunted Mansion Parlor include a ghostly aquarium, reminiscent of a concept proposed by Disney Imagineer Rolly Crump during the early stages of the original attraction's development. Additionally, a portrait gallery featuring spectral inhabitants of the Disney Treasure will offer guests a glimpse into the afterlife of the ship's former occupants.
As part of the unveiling, Disney Cruise Line will introduce an exclusive commemorative mug collection inspired by the portraits adorning the Parlor. These ceramic mugs, designed to resemble ghostly ship planks, will serve as cherished souvenirs for guests embarking on the haunted voyage.
