New Routes to Mexico: Expanded Opportunities for Travelers This Winter
This winter, travelers can look forward to new routes to Mexico offered by Delta and Aeromexico. Delta will launch flights from Detroit to Tulum and Los Angeles to Mazatlan, while Aeromexico will add routes from Atlanta and Los Angeles to Manzanillo, from Newark to Mexico City, and from Denver to Monterrey.
Delta has announced an expansion of its route network to meet the growing demand for travel to this popular region. According to Joe Esposito, Senior Vice President of Network Planning, Mexico is one of the most popular destinations for the company's clients.
New Routes
From January 11: Detroit — Tulum
- Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW) — departure airport.
- Cancun International Airport (CUN) — nearest airport to Tulum.
From December 21: Los Angeles — Mazatlan
- Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) — departure airport.
- General Rafael Buelna International Airport (MZT) — arrival airport in Mazatlan.
From December 21: Atlanta and Los Angeles — Manzanillo
- Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) — departure airport.
- Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) — departure airport.
- Playa de Oro International Airport (ZLO) — arrival airport in Manzanillo.
Aeromexico will also add daily flights between Newark and Mexico City starting October 27, increasing its capacity on this route by 20%. Aeromexico is the largest airline in Mexico, offering a wide range of services and routes worldwide. More information about the company can be found on their official website. Additionally, starting December 21, flights from Denver to Monterrey, an important industrial and business hub in Mexico, will begin.
