New Travel App for Seamless Bus and Tram Journeys in Edinburgh
Lothian Buses and Edinburgh Trams have introduced a new travel app, enhancing public transport experiences in Edinburgh starting today, June 3, 2024.
The innovative app, developed with UrbanThings and Lothian’s digital teams, allows users to plan journeys with accurate timetables and real-time updates for all stops across Edinburgh and the Lothians.
Designed to streamline travel, the app features integrated ticketing, enabling customers to plan their journeys and purchase or gift tickets for both buses and trams. The real-time service updates allow users to adapt to network changes on the go, ensuring a smooth travel experience.
Sarah Boyd, Managing Director for Lothian, shared her enthusiasm: "With over 2 million customer journeys weekly, our new app will significantly enhance travel for both residents and visitors. Combining journey planning and ticketing in one platform supports seamless travel with advanced accessibility features, making our service more inclusive."
