New Weekday Direct Routes from Carterton to Oxford Starting June 3rd
Starting June 3rd, Carterton residents will have an exciting new travel option with the launch of direct weekday bus routes to Oxford, courtesy of a successful tender by Oxfordshire County Council. The new S2X service promises to make commuting smoother and more enjoyable for travelers.
The S2X will offer two early morning and two late afternoon journeys each weekday, providing a quick and efficient connection between Carterton and Oxford. Designed to cater to commuters, these express routes will cut down travel time and ensure a comfortable journey to the city center.
The route begins in Carterton, covering key stops at Stanmore Crescent, Wycombe Way, and Monohan Way, before heading onto the A40 Flyover. It will serve all major stops along the A40 until reaching Oxford North. From there, the bus will travel via Woodstock Road, with limited stops at Summertown South Parade West, Canterbury Road, and Radcliffe Observatory Quarter, before arriving at Oxford Magdalen Street.
Operating with a Tube coach, the S2X service is set to offer a high level of comfort and reliability, ensuring that travelers can enjoy a seamless journey. This new route is part of a broader effort to enhance public transport options and make commuting more convenient for residents of Carterton.
