A United Airlines flight at Boston Logan International Airport experienced engine trouble on Monday night, leading to a small grass fire on the tarmac. The incident occurred while the plane, flight 2136 bound for Dulles, was taxiing. The plane itself was not affected by the fire, and emergency crews quickly extinguished the flames.
No injuries were reported, and the plane returned to the gate under its own power. The 162 passengers and six crew members safely deplaned before boarding another aircraft, which departed later that evening.
United Airlines confirmed the delay was caused by an engine issue, which was promptly addressed by ground crews and emergency responders.
