Oceania Cruises to Launch Allura Ahead of Schedule
Oceania Cruises has announced that its new ship Allura will commence service a week earlier than planned. The inaugural voyage is set to depart from Trieste to Athens on July 18, 2025, charting a course through the gems of the Eastern Mediterranean.
The inaugural cruise will last six days, ending in Athens, Greece, with stops at several Eastern Mediterranean ports, including Rijeka, Croatia; Ravenna, Italy; Dubrovnik, Croatia; and Kotor, Montenegro. Additionally, Oceania Cruises has unveiled a unique four-day roundtrip voyage from New York City in September 2025.
For passengers who had booked the initial inaugural voyage on July 24, 2025, Oceania Cruises is offering the first chance to reserve spots on the new maiden sailing before general sales begin. Following her debut season in the Mediterranean, Allura will head to North America for a series of voyages through Canada and New England, before moving to the Caribbean for her winter season, homeporting in Miami. For new travelers eager to experience cruise, the line has introduced a four-day "Taste of Oceania Cruises" roundtrip from New York, scheduled for September 30 - October 4, 2025.
Allura, the eighth vessel in Oceania Cruises' fleet and the second of the Allura Class, follows the successful launch of her sister ship, Vista, in May 2023. Key features of Allura include a new Crêperie, a luxurious library with floor-to-ceiling glass, and an impressive guest-to-crew ratio ensuring personalized service. Dining options include five specialty restaurants at no extra cost, and the most spacious standard staterooms at sea, measuring 291 square feet.
Also, guests can look forward to over 300 new recipes in the Grand Dining Room, immersive shore excursions, and various onboard enrichment activities such as art classes and sommelier-led wine pairings.
