Oklahoma to open a huge amusement park the size of Disneyland soon
All theme park lovers will have a discovery soon as a new amusement park the size of Disneyland is launching in Oklahoma. American Heartland Theme Park and Resort is expected to open in 2026.
The $2 billion American Heartland Theme Park and Resort project will have an American-style atmosphere. Each region of the park will have its own atmosphere and theme, TheManual writes.
In each zone, guests will be able to enjoy a combination of family rides, shows, entertainment, and cafes. The project will include six American-themed areas within the park, including the Great Plains, Bayou Bay, Big Timber Falls, Electropolis, Stony Point Harbour, and Liberty Village.
It is emphasized that the American Heartland design team consists of 20 qualified professionals, many of whom are former Disney park builders or Walt Disney Imagineers. And just as Orlando is associated with Walt Disney World, the Tulsa area will soon be home to the American Heartland theme park and resort.
In addition to the main park, the American Heartland project will also include a massive RV park with more than 750 sites that will attract tourists from across the region. The plans also include an indoor water park, ideal for enjoyment all year round.
It is noted that the Oklahoma authorities see this project as a way to help create new jobs, expecting more than 4,000 new jobs to be created by the time the park opens in 2026. It is also expected that the new amusement park will give the economy a much-needed boost in the region.
At the same time, due to the staggering scale of this Disneyland-sized project, the park will open in stages: first, the parking lot will open in the spring of 2025, and the full theme park will open in 2026.
As the authors of the article add, the opening of this new American-themed park has the potential to attract tourists with different interests and will be an entertaining place for people of all ages.
