Porter Airlines Expands Winter Flights to Florida
Toronto-based Porter Airlines has announced its significant expansion into the busy winter travel market to Florida. Every winter, millions of Canadians from Eastern cities travel to Florida, seeking sunshine and a break from harsh winter conditions at home.
Porter Airlines will now offer up to 124 weekly flights between Canada and Florida, covering 14 routes to six destinations in the Sunshine State. These flights will depart from Montreal, Halifax, Ottawa, and Toronto-Pearson airports, providing more options for Canadian travelers.
President of Porter Airlines, Kevin Jackson, stated that the airline experienced a strong response to their Florida services last winter. This year, they are expanding their offerings to meet the growing demand, with flights departing from four major Canadian airports.
Porter Airlines is known for its emphasis on care, style, and charm, offering a unique elevated economic experience across North America. Established in 2006, Porter Airlines operates out of Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport, located on an island in front of Downtown Toronto, using turboprop aircraft due to local noise restrictions.
