Renfe Launches Budget-Friendly Summer Travel Campaign
Spain's state railway operator, Renfe, has introduced a summer campaign offering significantly discounted fares for high-speed train journeys. From 22 July to 8 September, travelers can take advantage of 'Superprecios' fares, with some tickets starting as low as seven euros.
Starting 24 June, these special fares are available for purchase on Renfe's website and other usual sales channels until 1 July. The discounted tickets are valid for the high-speed AVE and Avlo services, as well as Larga Distancia trains, making travel across Spain more affordable for many.
This campaign provides travelers with an economical way to explore Spain's diverse destinations. Tickets are available from 18 euros for trips between Madrid and cities like Seville, Granada, Algeciras, and Almeria. Journeys to Malaga and Huelva start at 24 euros, while tickets to Cadiz can be found from 34 euros. Additionally, travelers can secure tickets for just 14 euros to travel between Madrid and Valencia, and 15 euros for routes from Madrid to Zaragoza, Pamplona, Logroño, or Burgos.
Renfe also offers fares from 18 euros for travel between Madrid and Barcelona, Lleida, and Camp de Tarragona, as well as between Madrid and Seville, Granada, Algeciras, Almeria, and Extremadura. These discounted fares open up opportunities for budget-conscious travelers to experience a variety of Spanish regions and cities.
Beyond affordability, Renfe's services also support sustainable travel. The daily operation of all Renfe trains, both passenger and freight, helps avoid the emission of 4.1 million tonnes of CO2 annually and saves energy equivalent to more than 1.1 million tonnes of oil. Renfe's electric trains produce no direct emissions and use 100% renewable electricity, contributing to carbon neutrality.
For those planning summer travels, Renfe's new campaign offers a practical and eco-friendly way to discover Spain's landscapes, culture, and history at a reduced cost.
