Russians should not expect flights cancelled due to border closure to be refunded by Finnair
The Finnish airline Finnair refused to refund tickets for flights that were cancelled due to the border closure.
This information was published by Russian resources. It is noted that some time ago, an unnamed Russian woman bought a plane ticket to Helsinki, planning to travel to Russia by bus.
But the Finnish authorities closed the border crossing points and the point of the flight disappeared for her. The plane ticket was non-refundable, and she asked Finnair to consider the situation as force majeure.
However, an employee of the Finnish company said that so far, the management had not received any orders to treat the situation as exceptional.
For now, the passenger was offered to request compensation through a form on the website.
