Ryanair recorded a 3% increase in traffic in the first month of 2024
Ryanair, which is known for its affordable transportation, reported a 3% increase in passenger traffic in January 2024. At the same time, the company noted a drop in passenger load factor on its flights.
Compared to last year's figures, traffic increased to 12.2 million passengers from 11.8 million, and the load factor decreased from 91% to 89%. This is reported by London South East.
It is noted that the likely reason for such changes is the removal of Ryanair flights from online travel agencies and platforms. The company warned that such actions could lead to a decrease in short-term load factors and a deterioration in short-term profitability.
It is currently known that last year the number of customers increased by 10% (182.1 million), and the load factor increased to 94% from 93%. In addition, Ryanair operated more than 71,700 flights during the month, with more than 950 flights canceled due to the armed conflict between Israel and Palestine.
