In 2024, Ryanair will connect coastal airports in Bulgaria with 14 cities in Europe
This year, Ryanair will operate flights to four destinations from Bulgaria's Varna Airport and ten from Burgas Airport. This was announced by the operator of the two coastal airports, Fraport Twin Star Airport Management.
Ryanair will connect Varna with the Austrian capital Vienna, Katowice and Krakow in Poland, and Vilnius in Lithuania. The destinations from Bourgas Airport include Vienna, Warsaw, Modlin, Krakow, Gdansk, and Poznan in Poland, Kaunas in Lithuania, Bratislava in Slovakia, Budapest in Hungary, and Dublin in Ireland. Tickets for the flights are already on sale. This information was published by seenews.com.
A Ryanair flight between Bourgas and London Luton has also been confirmed, according to a spokesman for the airport operator. Summer airport schedules are usually drawn up in the second half of March.
Last month, Fraport Twin Star Airport Management also announced that the Dutch low-cost airline Transavia will resume flights between Varna and Paris-Orly in the summer of 2024. The last time the airline operated charter flights on this route was in 2017.
Fraport Twin Star Airport Management, which is 60% controlled by the German airport operator Fraport, and Lagardere Travel Retail Bulgaria are working to transform the food and beverage areas at Varna and Burgas airports after a subsidiary of the French publishing and travel retail group. In December, Lagardere announced that it had won the concession tender for both catering facilities. The project will start in late 2024 with an expected launch date in spring 2025.
