Saudia Holidays and AlUla Forge Strategic Partnership to Enhance Travel Experience
Saudia Holidays has teamed up with AlUla, an ancient oasis city in northwest Saudi Arabia, announcing a strategic partnership aimed at boosting AlUla's status as a leading year-round tourist destination. This announcement was made following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the Arabian Travel Market 2024, marking a significant step in enhancing the travel experience to this historic locale.
The partnership will see Saudia Airlines increase its flight services to AlUla, with six weekly flights from major Saudi cities, Riyadh and Jeddah. This increase is part of a comprehensive plan to make travel to AlUla more accessible and appealing. Starting immediately, travelers can book these flights either as standalone tickets or as part of all-inclusive packages that cover airfare, accommodation, transport, and tours through Saudia's dedicated travel platform.
Melanie de Souza, Executive Director of Destination Marketing at the Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU), highlighted the transformative potential of the partnership for visitors. "This initiative is about more than promoting AlUla; it's about creating a holistic travel experience that allows visitors to fully immerse themselves in the cultural and historical richness of the area," she explained.
The collaboration also includes extensive co-branded marketing campaigns and special promotions aimed at integrating AlUla more closely with both domestic and international travelers. These efforts are complemented by Saudia's recent launch of the 'Forever Revitalising' global marketing campaign, which aims to enhance the global perception of AlUla through innovative strategies and comprehensive travel packages.
