During a press conference on May 22, 2024, lux-Airport addressed the incident, emphasizing that passengers should contact their airlines for any claims or queries. The airport highlighted its commitment to working closely with airlines to assist affected passengers.
Following the incident, lux-Airport, alongside airlines and handling agents, has provided assistance to passengers affected by cancellations and delays. The airport encourages passengers to direct their claims and queries to the airlines, which will manage them in accordance with regulations.
lux-Airport reassured passengers that they are cooperating with airlines to handle any exceptional claims promptly. Although lux-Airport itself does not fall under the Regulation (EU) 261/2004 concerning passenger compensation, they pledged to support in accordance with applicable laws.
