Southwest Airlines Offers Limited-Time Companion Pass for Hawaii Flights
Southwest Airlines has announced a special promotion for travelers flying between the mainland U.S. and Hawaii this summer. Rapid Rewards Members who book one round trip or two one-way flights by May 24, 2024, can earn a Companion Pass, allowing a designated companion to fly with them for free from October 5 to November 15, 2024.
This promotion celebrates Southwest's five-year anniversary of serving five airports in Hawaii. The airline's Vice President of Marketing, Jonathan Clarkson, noted that this offer is a way to thank customers for their support over the past five years. Southwest currently offers nonstop flights to Hawaii from eight mainland gateways.
To participate, members must register for the promotion, purchase their flights by May 24, and complete their travel between June 1 and July 31, 2024. The earned Companion Pass will be valid for any Southwest flight during the designated fall period, providing significant savings for frequent travelers.
The Rapid Rewards program, known for its flexibility with no blackout dates and points that never expire, adds further value to this promotion. More information and registration details can be found on Southwest’s official website.
This initiative aims to enhance travel experiences for both mainland and Hawaiian travelers, making it easier and more affordable to explore new destinations.
