Southwest Airlines will add new seasonal flights within the United States and to international destinations
On February 8, Southwest Airlines announced a pleasant surprise for travelers: this fall, the airline will offer new seasonal flights. Starting in October, the carrier plans to expand its network of non-stop flights to cover both US cities and exotic foreign resorts.
The addition of new seasonal routes to popular tourist destinations such as Cancun, Mexico, Montego Bay, Jamaica, and others will allow more tourists to vacation in luxurious locations. This is reported by Simple Flying.
Southwest already serves 121 US cities. This fall, the airline plans to expand its regional network by launching flights from Tennessee to two new airports in October:
- Starting October 3, Southwest will operate seasonal nonstop service to Las Vegas, Nevada (Thursday through Monday).
- Starting October 6, the airline will operate nonstop service to Richmond, Virginia (on Sundays).
Southwest Airlines will also offer flights to 10 countries, the most popular of which are Mexico and the Caribbean and Central America.
Starting October 5, seasonal non-stop weekend flights will be resumed to the following destinations:
- Nashville - Cancun
- Austin - Cabo San Lucas/Los Cabos
- Phoenix - Cancun
Southwest also plans to resume seasonal Saturday flights to:
- Kansas City - Cabo San Lucas/Los Cabos
- Sacramento - Cabo San Lucas/Los Cabos
- Atlanta - Cancun
- San Antonio - Cancun
- Fort Lauderdale - Montego Bay
