Stowaway flies from Algeria to France in the landing gear of an airplane: He was found in critical condition
A high-profile incident occurred at Orly Airport in Paris. A man was found in the landing gear of an Air Algeria plane flying to the French capital from the Algerian city of Oran.
The stowaway, who for some unknown reason did not board the flight in a traditional way, was found in critical condition, CNN reports. However, the fact that he survived can be called a miracle.
According to witnesses, the unnamed person's life is still in danger. He is being treated in a Paris hospital, where the unfortunate passenger was sent after being found.
The plane reportedly took more than two hours to fly between Oran and Paris. All this time, the passenger was in dangerous conditions, where the temperature was down to minus 60 Celsius (minus 76 Fahrenheit).
Given the lack of oxygen, the stowaway could have died before reaching the French city.
Incidents when passengers hide in the landing gear to get to another city or even country for various reasons happened before. They usually ended in tragedy or hospitalization of such people.
