SWISS and SBB Expand Air Rail Service from Geneva Airport
SWISS International Air Lines (SWISS) and Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) are expanding their joint Air Rail service from Geneva Airport. Starting June 11, passengers will be able to enjoy convenient rail routes to the Western Swiss towns of Vevey, Montreux, Sion, Sierre, Visp, and Brig, improving connections to popular tourist destinations in Switzerland.
This initiative aims to enhance the integration of air and rail transport. The new expansion will allow travelers to easily reach resorts in Canton Valais, such as Crans-Montana, Verbier, Zermatt, and Saas-Fee. The Air Rail service is already available for booking on the SWISS website and through travel agencies.
According to company representatives, this expansion is aimed at meeting customer needs and improving the overall travel experience. Passengers will be able to use a single ticket that includes both the flight and rail journey, ensuring more convenient and seamless travel.
With the network expansion, SWISS Air Rail now covers 17 destinations, including Geneva, Fribourg, Bern, Interlaken, Lausanne, Lucerne, Lugano, Bellinzona, and Basel in Switzerland, as well as Munich in Germany and Bregenz in Austria.
