Tallinn Airport will lift restrictions on carrying liquids and electronics in hand luggage
The management of Tallinn Airport has announced that it will lift restrictions on the transportation of liquids and electronics in hand luggage.
Starting in April, passengers will be allowed to carry liquids of up to 2 liters on board and will not be required to remove laptops, cameras, and other electronics from their bags, as reported by ERR.
This will be made possible thanks to new scanners worth €2.8 million. They are capable of performing 3D scanning, allowing staff to inspect luggage more quickly and effectively.
The security equipment is currently being replaced, so slightly longer queues are expected by the end of March.
Tarvi Pihlakas, head of aviation security at Tallinn Airport, stated that it is also planned to cancel the requirement to pack liquids in separate bags.
