Taxi fares are about to be temporarily raised in London
December is usually a time of spending. We buy gifts for our families, prepare lavish feasts, or plan vacations. However, if you are planning to visit London this year, take an extra budget with you, as taxi fares will increase from December 24, 2023, to January 2, 2024.
Time Out will tell you how much the fare has increased.
The publication reports that from 20:00 on Christmas Eve (Sunday, December 24) to 6:00 on Wednesday, December 27, and again from 20:00 on New Year's Eve (Sunday, December 31) to 6:00 on Tuesday, January 2, taxis will charge all passengers an additional £4 per trip.
And it's not just taxis that are changing their services. According to the TfL website: "Between Friday, December 22, 2023 and Tuesday, January 2, 2024, planned work, closures and service changes may affect your journey."
