Thai AirAsia X Relaunches Bangkok-Nagoya Route with Attractive Offers
Thai AirAsia X (XJ), a well-known carrier for affordable Japan-bound flights, is reinstating its service from Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport to Nagoya, starting on August 1, 2024. The airline is kicking off this renewed connection with a promotional fare, inviting travelers to explore Japan's Chubu region.
Flights are scheduled to depart four times a week—Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays—further enhancing the airline's robust network which already includes popular destinations like Tokyo, Osaka, and Sapporo. The promotional bookings are available from May 16 to June 2, 2024, through the AirAsia MOVE app and at airasia.com, for travel spanning from the launch date to March 29, 2025.
Mr. Tassapon Bijleveld, the CEO of Thai AirAsia X, expressed enthusiasm about the route, citing a high load factor average of 89 percent during the first quarter of 2024. He highlighted Nagoya as a highly sought-after destination, now directly accessible, which is expected to stimulate tourism and growth in the area.
Nagoya, known as the gateway to central Japan, offers a wealth of attractions including the historical Nagoya Castle, the enchanting Ghibli Park, and the family-friendly Legoland. The region is also renowned for its 'Nagoya Meshi,' a unique culinary experience that features local specialties such as Hitsumabushi (grilled eel) and Misokatsu (pork cutlet with miso sauce).
As the airline bolsters its fleet with seven A330 aircraft, it continues to expand its reach to other major cities including Seoul, Shanghai, and Sydney, making Thai AirAsia X a competitive player in connecting Thai travelers to the world.
