The British Airways plane made an emergency landing in Edinburgh: the reason
On February 14, in the morning, passengers of British Airways flight BA1307, en route from Aberdeen to London, experienced an unpleasant incident. After an air raid alert was announced, the plane was forced to make an emergency landing at Edinburgh Airport in Scotland.
Having taken off shortly before 11 am, the Boeing 737-800 was scheduled to land at Heathrow at 12:25 pm. However, an alarm signal that sounded in the air forced the pilots to change course, The Scottish Sun reports.
According to Flightradar24, the plane circled West Lothian several times before landing safely in Edinburgh.
A British Airways spokesperson said: "Our aircraft was diverted to Edinburgh due to a minor technical issue, where it landed safely. Our teams are working to ensure customers arrive at their destination as quickly as possible."
Fortunately, no one was injured during the incident. However, the reason for the emergency landing and the further fate of the aircraft remain uncertain.
