A long-awaited tourist attraction, the Kalba Hanging Gardens with more than 100 thousand trees, has been opened in Sharjah (UAE).
The park has jogging tracks, children's areas, as well as climbing trails and restaurants overlooking waterfalls, Khaleejtimes.com reports.
With more than 100,000 trees covering an area of 1.6 million square feet and towering 281 metres above sea level, an important UAE landmark - the Hanging Gardens in Kalba - is now open to residents.
The garden, located on the Sharjah-Kalba road, was inaugurated by Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah.
Professional skaters performed in a dedicated arena that covers an area of 24,000 square feet and includes three levels for children, beginners and professionals.
As TravelWise reported, Air Arabia will launch direct flights from Sharjah to Athens.
