The passenger revealed why the £6700 cabin for 18 days disappointed him and provided a review
Cruise ship passenger Mark Sebastian paid $8,500 (£6,700) for an 18-day cruise on Royal Caribbean's Serenade of the Seas, reserving a third-floor ocean-view cabin. Despite the substantial price, he was disappointed rather than pleased with the cabin.
In his TikTok video, the blogger humorously criticized the living conditions, stating that he wouldn't have survived 9 months in such a room. Over the 274-day cruise, passengers have the opportunity to visit 11 wonders of the world and explore more than 60 countries.
Mark Sebastian expressed disappointment with the very small wardrobe, which could barely accommodate his suitcase packed for 18 days. Outerwear alone took up half of the available space.
Regarding the bathroom, he was critical of the efficiency of the shower: "The water is either icy, hot, or third-degree burns. I appreciate the shower because it saves me from having to make decisions in the morning."
Sebastian also mentioned that the lighting in the bathroom is "torture" and humorously claimed that every minute spent there "takes 1 year off his life."
The situation was no better in the guest part of the cabin. Mirrors hanging literally everywhere only annoyed the tourist.
The sofa seemed uncomfortable, and the blogger commented on the soft flooring: "I think the most beautiful thing about this carpet is that if I didn't feel seasick before, I do now."
Finally, he demonstrated a strange design solution near the bed. A curtain between the bedroom and the guest area was visible, serving as a kind of partition. However, the designers did not account for a ceiling mount, so the curtain just hangs for decoration against the wall.
