The shortest Airbus A380 flights in the world in 2023 have been announced
The Airbus A380 wide-body, double-deck passenger aircraft is usually used for long flights with hundreds of passengers, but there are exceptions. For example, in 2023, this model was used for a flight of less than 500 km.
According to Simple Flying, Emirates used an Airbus A380 on a route from Dubai to Bahrain. The company wanted to help fans of the Formula 1 World Championship get to the show.
For this purpose, two round-trip flights were launched on March 6. The plane had to cover only 488 km.
The three-class, 519-seat Airbus A380 departed Dubai at 02:15 and returned at 06:05. Later, a 517-seat aircraft departed Dubai at 08:20 and returned at 12:40.
Speaking of more regular flights, the first place was taken by Asiana's route connecting Seoul Incheon - Tokyo Narita. The aircraft covers 1260 km during the flight.
The Airbus A380 departs daily from South Korea at 09:05 and arrives in Japan at 11:20. At first, this route operated from June to July, and then reopened in October.
Another top spot in the ranking was taken by Korean Air's Seoul Incheon-Taipei flight, which is 1460 km long.
