"The strangest bus": Pakistan's iconic bus with many doors and a limousine
The bus is an integral part of the public transportation system in most countries of the world. However, not all buses can boast of such a unique design as the most famous bus in Pakistan.
The Al Munir Super International Limousine Plus is the world's first 3-storey bus to have a limousine-like compartment with sleeping berths. What you should know about this bizarre bus, The Autopian told.
This intercity bus is owned by the Al Munir company, which has been operating in the country since 1983 under the name Super International. It is known to provide daily service between two major cities in Pakistan - Quetta and Karachi.
This bizarre bus is reportedly a modified version of the C13 PRO Coach from Chinese bus manufacturer Yutong, which is sent to Master Motor Corporation in Pakistan, where it is assembled from a collapsible kit. It is noted that in Pakistan this bus is sold as the Yutong Master NOVA Bus.
A notable feature of the Al Munir Super International Limousine Plus is its lower deck, which imitates a limousine right in the luggage compartment of the bus. There are 6 compartments in this area with private sleeping space and amenities. The other 2 decks are one large space, which is 2 layers of bunks that are not as private as the "limo" as well as a luggage compartment.
It is noted that to travel on this cozy bus, you need to dial 0313 8394364 and book a ticket.
