The updated Waldorf Astoria Orlando is a wonderful choice for your next vacation in Florida. Photos
With reimagined common spaces and guest rooms by Parker Torres Design, the renovated Waldorf Astoria Orlando in Florida is on the list of must-visit destinations this summer.
Featuring bright and airy rooms and suites with luxurious elements and theme park views, fantastic dining options, a large pool area, a huge spa, and an 18-hole golf course, you definitely don't need to leave the resort to have a great vacation. Another advantage is that Disney World is nearby, writes Travel + Leisure.
Rooms
The newly renovated rooms and suites at the Waldorf Astoria Orlando are decorated in soothing neutrals and blues with plush fabrics and gold accents, creating a serene getaway from the hustle and bustle of Central Florida theme parks.
The 502 guest rooms range from standard rooms with a king-size bed and double rooms with a queen-size bed to spacious four-bedroom suites, which are ideal for large families or groups of friends.
Food & Beverage
Visitors and locals alike flock to the hotel's signature restaurant, Bull & Bear. With a sophisticated steakhouse atmosphere and a menu that includes classic dishes like Caesar salads, seafood towers, fried chicken, and steaks, Bull & Bear draws a crowd.
But the restaurant also has a few surprises, including a $100 caviar-covered baked potato, Iberico jamon, and a carefully prepared dessert simply called Lemon. It looks just like a lemon, but the lemon rind is carefully removed before being filled with lemon curd, Chantilly cream, and lemon sorbet.
Entertainment
It's easy to forget that you're minutes from theme parks when you play the 18-hole championship course at the Waldorf Astoria Golf Club. The Bonnet Creek Nature Preserve is a scenic place to play first, with a pro shop, putting green, and a practice facility for visitors hoping to hone their game during their visit.
The large zero-entry pool, tranquil pool with cabanas, and Jacuzzi offer plenty of room to splash around. The cottage rental includes space for six guests, a TV, rec rooms, and more. There is also a 24-hour fitness center.
At the nearby Signia by Hilton, guests can take advantage of dining options and amenities, including a winding pool.
Disney World perks
Waldorf Astoria Orlando is an official Walt Disney World hotel. No, you won't find Mickey wandering the halls, but you can enjoy a host of fantastic theme park-centric benefits while staying at this resort. The hotel is located just minutes away from the theme parks and Disney Springs. Complimentary transportation to these locations is provided during your stay at the hotel. Guests staying at the Waldorf Astoria Orlando can also take advantage of early theme park admission when they (and other Disney World hotel guests) can enter the theme parks 30 minutes early each day.
Spa
The Waldorf Astoria Spa offers a wide range of spa services and salons, including Hydrafacials, CBD massages, scalp and body treatments, Normatec foot restoration, manicures and pedicures, and hair cutting and coloring services. The facilities are large, with 22 treatment rooms, hot tubs, steam rooms, and a Himalayan salt room (available for an additional fee).
Family-friendly offers
In addition to the hotel's family-friendly pools, multi-bedroom suites, and easy access to Disney World theme parks, several kid-friendly amenities make this hotel a great choice for families. The hotel offers immersive movies, s'mores, WA Kids Club, miniature golf, lawn games, and access to arcade rooms and a slow-moving river pool adjacent to Signia by Hilton. Astoria After Dark, available on Friday and Saturday evenings, allows parents to have dinner (romantic dates at Bull & Bear) while the kids have fun at the kids' club.
