To fly for £60: a trip to an island that is "like the Caribbean"
There is an island that is said to resemble the Caribbean very much. You can fly there from Liverpool John Lennon Airport for just £60.
Winter is still on the horizon, so many people are looking ahead to the future and planning their travels with anticipation. However, with the ongoing cost of living crisis, money is tight, and it can be difficult to find a good deal on a flight. A great idea for a budget trip was prepared by liverpoolecho.co.
A new route from Liverpool Airport offers direct flights to the English Channel island of Guernsey, lasting about an hour and a half each way. The "hidden gem" is called the perfect place to "get away from it all and recharge your batteries," according to the Guernsey Tourist Board.
Due to its close proximity to France, the climate in Guernsey is much milder than in the UK. Moreover, the island has also been compared to some exotic locations due to its idyllic beaches.
TikTok user @lifeinguernsey shared and captioned a video from the place she calls home: "You could be in the Caribbean".
Aurigny Airlines will launch flights to Guernsey from LJLA Airport on April 2. Flights will be operated three times a week. The airfare starts from £59.99.
Nico Bezuidenhout, CEO of Aurigny, said: "I am delighted that we will be the tenth airline to start operating from Liverpool Airport. Our upcoming flight to and from Guernsey, scheduled for April, symbolizes our commitment to expanding our network and offering travelers exceptional options. We are delighted to be joining the Liverpool Airport family to open up new horizons for our passengers, making travel more accessible and memorable."
