Top 5 airlines with the most luxurious business classes. Photos
Airlines that generate significant revenue from long-haul routes compete with each other for business travellers and other passengers who expect a standard of excellence in air travel.
In this race for business class amenities, private pods, luxury toiletries, and exclusive lounge access are just a few of the aspects that contribute to an airline's competitive advantage, Simple Flying writes.
Qatar Airways
The airline's QSuite business class offer, introduced in 2017, has been highly respected since its launch. Qatar Airways was honoured with the Skytrax World Airline Award for Best Business Class in the World for 2023, cementing its reputation for business class cabin excellence.
The carrier offers four QSuites configurations: single, double, twin and four-seat cabins. The suites have doors with "do not disturb" indicators.
Emirates
Emirates offers exceptional business class on its Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 aircraft, available on some routes. Regardless of the type of aircraft, business class passengers can enjoy premium privileges, including chauffeur service to and from the airport (free up to 50 miles) and access to Emirates airport business class lounges. While visiting the lounge, travellers can freshen up at the Timeless Spa and receive a massage, facial or spa treatment.
Singapore Airlines
The airline provides excellent business class services with flat-bed seats on its Airbus A350 and A380 aircraft, as well as Boeing 777 and 787 on select routes. On the A350 and 777, passengers can use two new seating positions: Lazy Z, which centres and balances a person's weight while sitting, and Sundeck, a reclining position in which the seat leg extends to simulate the experience of using an ottoman.
Hainan Airlines
The Chinese carrier offers business class service on various aircraft in its fleet, with seat configurations varying greatly. Many aircraft have flat seats in the business class cabin. However, in 2023, the airline was awarded the Skytrax World's Best Business Class Cabin Amenities award for its excellent leisure and dining offerings.
Delta Air Lines
Even though Delta One cabin of the American carrier is not designated as a business class, it was included in this list due to its parity with other airlines. It is noteworthy that Delta One's cabins include lie-flat seats, while the carrier's first-class offer is not available on Delta One flights and does not include lie-flat seats.
