TransPennine Express Adjusts Schedule for Cricket Match Travelers

TransPennine Express is introducing extra stops for the eagerly awaited England vs. Australia cricket game at Chester-le-Street. On the 24th of September, travelers heading to Riverside Ground will benefit from adjusted services, with a special evening train leaving Chester-le-Street at 20:11, ensuring a smooth journey back to Liverpool-bound passengers. This train will make multiple stops, including Durham, Darlington, and York, before reaching Liverpool Lime Street.

Along with the night-time train, TPE is also adding extra stops during the day, enabling cricket fans to conveniently journey from Liverpool to Newcastle. Services featuring specific stops at Chester-le-Street will be provided at 10:01 am, 12:02 pm, and 18:02 pm, offering flexible transport options for spectators going to the game.

The cricket match between England and Australia at Chester-le-Street is part of a historic rivalry between the two teams, known as The Ashes. This match is crucial, as it often influences the final outcome of the series.
