Ongoing roadworks on the A619 at Baslow are causing significant disruptions for motorists and buses, affecting travel to some of the Peak District's most beloved tourist spots, including Chatsworth House and Bakewell.

Motorists traveling along the A619 in Baslow should prepare for delays due to two separate sets of roadworks. One set is near the junction with Eaton Hill, while the other is located near the Robin Hood Inn. These roadworks are expected to continue for a while, so travelers should plan their routes accordingly.

These roadworks have also impacted Hulleys of Baslow bus services throughout Derbyshire. Temporary traffic lights in Baslow have led to delays on several bus routes, including the 84, 170, and 257 services. In response, Hulleys of Baslow has had to cancel some services and adjust schedules. Travelers are advised to check for updates and plan accordingly.

Tourists heading to Chatsworth House and Bakewell should consider these disruptions when planning their trips. The roadworks have sparked frustration among visitors and locals alike, especially during the busy tourist season. Local businesses, which depend heavily on tourist traffic, are also feeling the effects of these delays.

Efforts are being made to complete the roadworks swiftly to minimize disruption. However, visitors are encouraged to remain patient and plan their journeys with the potential delays in mind. Regular updates on road conditions and bus schedules will help travelers navigate these temporary challenges.

Despite the current inconvenience, officials emphasize that these road improvements are necessary for enhancing the safety and efficiency of travel routes in the area. Visitors to the Peak District can look forward to smoother journeys once the works are completed. In the meantime, patience and careful planning will ensure that trips to this beautiful region remain enjoyable.
