Travel Options for Taylor Swift's Murrayfield Concert

Taylor Swift fans in Scotland are eagerly counting down the days until her performance at Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh from June 7 to 9. With anticipation building, it’s crucial for concertgoers to finalize their travel arrangements to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience.

Concert attendees have multiple transportation options, including trains, buses, and trams, to get to Murrayfield Stadium. ScotRail is enhancing its services for the concert weekend by adding extra train carriages and running later timetables. Special late-night trains will operate from Edinburgh to Glasgow, Dundee, Dunblane, and Perth, with the last train to Glasgow Queen Street departing at 00:12. Additional carriages will be available on afternoon trains through Fife and the Borders. To avoid delays, passengers are advised to purchase return tickets in advance via the ScotRail app or at ticket machines.

Once in Edinburgh, concertgoers can travel from Haymarket train station to Murrayfield Stadium. Haymarket, located in the city’s west end, is about a 20-30 minute walk from the stadium. Alternatively, attendees can take the tram, with the Murrayfield Stadium stop just one stop away from Haymarket.

Edinburgh's tram service is offering extended services and special ticket deals for the event. Trams will run until 1 am each day, and a 'day tripper' ticket can be purchased online, providing unlimited tram travel for the day. Discounts are available for groups of 10 or more, with tickets priced at £4.50 for adults and £8 for a family ticket, covering up to two adults and three children under 16.

Private bus companies also offer transport options to and from Murrayfield. Happy Bus provides routes from Glasgow and other areas, with tickets ranging from £18 to £36, depending on the departure point. For those traveling from Aberdeen, First Bus offers a special return journey for £40. Booking in advance is highly recommended as some routes are already sold out.
