Turkish Airlines Launches New Istanbul-Turin Route
On July 10, 2024, Turkish Airlines began its new daily flight service between Istanbul and Turin, expanding its global reach. The inaugural flight was celebrated at Turin Airport with Turkish Airlines executives and prominent figures from the Piedmont region. This addition makes Turin the ninth Italian city in the airline's network and the 349th destination worldwide.
The Istanbul-Turin route offers passengers direct access to Istanbul, a major tourism and business hub, and connections to Turkish Airlines' extensive network across six continents.
Turkish Airlines CEO Bilal Ekşi expressed enthusiasm about the new route, highlighting the strengthened ties with Italy and the benefits for travelers in north-west Italy. Elisabetta Oliveri, Chairman of Torino Airport, emphasized the positive impact on the local economy and the airport's strategic growth.
Flights will operate on the following schedule:
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday: Depart Istanbul at 7:15 AM, Arrive Turin at 9:20 AM; Depart Turin at 10:15 AM, Arrive Istanbul at 2:10 PM
- Wednesday, Friday, Sunday: Depart Istanbul at 5:00 PM, Arrive Turin at 7:05 PM; Depart Turin at 8:00 PM, Arrive Istanbul at 11:55 PM
Turin, surrounded by the Alps and known for its rich history and baroque architecture, now connects more directly with Istanbul. Visitors can explore Turin's cultural landmarks such as the Royal Palace, Mole Antonelliana, and the Egyptian Museum. Additionally, the city is celebrated for its cuisine and arts scene, attracting tourists and business travelers alike.
