Uber Expands Water Transport Services Across Europe
Uber is revolutionizing travel in Europe this summer with the launch of new water-based transport services, offering tourists an exciting way to explore popular destinations.
This summer, Uber is introducing boat options, including cruises and yachts, allowing users to reach more secluded areas. These new services will be available in some of Europe's top tourist hotspots.
Paris: Free Cruises Just in Time for the Olympics
Starting from July 12 to August 3, Uber Cruise will offer a free, one-hour trip along the Seine in Paris. Passengers can enjoy views of landmarks such as Notre Dame, the Louvre, and the Eiffel Tower while sipping on a complimentary glass of wine. This service is timed for the upcoming Olympics.
Venice: Luxury Limo Boats
In Venice, where traditional cruise ships are restricted, Uber is launching 'Limo Boats' from July. These boats, costing from €120 per trip, can accommodate up to six passengers. Available from 8am to 8pm, tourists can easily explore the Venetian Lagoon. The service will include nearly 200 pick-up and drop-off points across the city.
Greek Islands: Seamless Exploration
Uber Boat, which debuted in Mykonos last summer, is returning to Greece, covering destinations like Athens, Corfu, and Santorini. Starting in July, visitors can navigate tricky waters with ease using the Uber app. Services will run from 9am to 9pm, with fares starting at €200 per boat, allowing tourists to access remote beaches and tavernas.
Ibiza: Affordable Luxury Yachting
In Ibiza, known for its high costs, Uber offers a more budget-friendly yacht experience. Launching in August, the Uber yacht can be booked for eight hours for €1,600, accommodating up to eight people. The trip includes a personal skipper, a bottle of Champagne, and artisan snacks. Guests can plan their own route, enjoy snorkeling at Formentera, and watch the sunset at Es Vedra. Transfers from hotels to the jetty are included.
Despite the exciting new offerings, Uber's boat services will be subject to weather conditions, so availability may vary. These new water transport options by Uber provide an innovative and luxurious way to explore some of Europe's most beautiful destinations, making holiday travel more exciting and accessible.
