Virgin Atlantic marks its 40th anniversary on June 22, 2024, celebrating four decades of revolutionizing air travel. To commemorate this milestone, the airline is offering an array of treats and surprises for passengers throughout June.

Starting on June 1st, Virgin Atlantic will debut a special 40th birthday logo, inspired by its heritage and first aircraft, Maiden Voyager. This unique logo will feature on new products and promotions, highlighting the airline’s history and commitment to personalized service.

In addition to the new logo, Virgin Atlantic's London Heathrow Clubhouse will offer a special 40th birthday beer, brewed in Wimbledon. Passengers can also enjoy a new cocktail, the Maiden Voyager, inspired by the 80s classic Woo Woo. The Clubhouses will serve a signature red velvet birthday cake and add 80s hits to their playlists to enhance the festive atmosphere.

To honor its history, Virgin Atlantic will display cabin crew uniforms from the past four decades at the London Heathrow Clubhouse. The exhibition will feature designs by Arabella Pollen, Elizabeth and David Emmanuel, John Rocha, and the late Vivienne Westwood.

Onboard, the airline’s popular Virgin Redhead cocktail will be available across all cabins, free in Upper Class and for purchase in Premium and Economy. Additionally, the Mile High Afternoon Tea will receive a special 40th-anniversary twist, with themed menus and unique treats for passengers in all classes.

A limited edition of Bottega prosecco bottles, adorned with a bespoke 40th birthday design, will be available for pre-order and onboard purchase. This collectible item is expected to be highly sought after by passengers.

Siobhan Fitzpatrick, Virgin Atlantic's Chief Experience Officer, expressed excitement about the celebrations, emphasizing the airline’s dedication to providing exceptional experiences. "Our spirit is stronger than ever, and we look forward to delighting our customers for the next 40 years," she said.

As Virgin Atlantic commemorates this significant milestone, passengers can look forward to a month filled with special treats and unique experiences, celebrating the airline’s legacy and innovative spirit.
