Virgin Australia Introduces New Inflight Menu and Digital Payment Options
Virgin Australia has launched a new onboard food and beverage menu, including an updated Business Class menu and 12 additions to the Economy Class buy onboard menu. This marks the airline's largest investment in its onboard food and beverage options in five years.
The new Business Class menu has been curated and taste-tested by Virgin Australia Cabin Crew and Velocity Frequent Flyer members. It features a variety of dishes inspired by Japanese, Indian, Mexican, Italian, and Western cuisines. This menu is now available on all Virgin Australia-operated domestic and international flights.
Economy passengers will also see changes, with the addition of new vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. Highlights from the Business Class menu include corn fritters with goat cheese, soba noodle salad with chicken, and mango coconut cake. New Economy items include artisan cheese and crackers, chicken pesto wraps, and hot dishes on longer routes.
Virgin Australia has introduced digital wallet payments, including Apple Pay and Google Pay, as part of its $300 million digital investment. This initiative aims to provide more convenient payment options for passengers.
These updates are part of Virgin Australia's ongoing efforts to enhance the customer experience. The introduction of a diverse menu aims to cater to various tastes, while the digital payment options reflect modern consumer preferences. Virgin Australia continues to innovate with features like baggage tracking and the Rapid Rebook self-service tool.
