What an abandoned amusement park in China looks like that failed to compete with Disneyland
Few people know what the theme park in China that was supposed to compete with Disneyland looks like, but failed to withstand the pressure and became a favorite location for those seeking a spooky atmosphere. Nowadays, the rides and colorful decorations are called a "zombie wasteland" and are used for thematic photos and videos.
A lot of posts dedicated to the abandoned park can be found on social media, the New York Time writes. For example, traveler Bob Teetsen spent two days in a closed park located in Jiangxi Province.
He described his trip as follows: "What used to be a noisy and lively place is now eerily quiet. Everything is overgrown and all you can hear are animals scurrying around. This creates an atmosphere of "I Am Legend" or "The Walking Dead".
It is believed that the reason for the closure was high prices and unfavorable location. Eventually, in 2018, the Chinese park was forced to close its doors due to unprofitability.
There is no talk of reopening the entertainment venue. Most likely, it will not be able to cope with the competition.
Now the territory looks abandoned and gloomy. Around you can see rides that are still waiting for new noisy children and adults. In some places, exterior elements have fallen and broken, and metal structures are rusted.
All items are covered with dust and overgrown with weeds. The abandoned cars make the situation inside look like someone ran away from the park and forgot to take important things.
Sometimes extreme sportsmen and explorers of abandoned places make their way here to plunge into the atmosphere of loneliness and hopelessness.
