Where And When You Can Watch New York's Famous Fireworks Display
New Yorkers can get a unique opportunity to see one of the most spectacular fireworks displays in the country. Mayor Eric Adams announced 10,000 free tickets to watch the Macy's 4th of July fireworks display from Piers 45 and 84 on the Hudson River in Manhattan.
Tickets were available online from 10 AM on June 26, 2024. The system operated on a first-come, first-served basis, and everyone could receive a maximum of two tickets. Tickets could only be booked for one of the piers.
Entry to the event will begin at 7:00 pm on Thursday, July 4, 2024, with the 25-minute fireworks display starting at 9:25 pm. It is recommended to arrive early to get the best seats and enjoy the holiday atmosphere on the waterfront.
For those who prefer to watch the fireworks at home, the show can be streamed live on NBC. Broadcast begins at 8:00 pm Eastern Time and 7:00 pm Pacific Time. A repeat of the program will air on NBC at 10:00 p.m. in both time zones.
Many New York City hotels and entertainment venues are preparing special events for the 4th of July, including parties, special menus and cocktails, live music and accommodation packages. For those who want to make the most of the holiday, it is recommended to inquire about these offers in advance.
"All New Yorkers will be able to enjoy Macy's Independence Day fireworks display, and our administration will make sure 10,000 lucky people get a front-row seat to the show," Mayor Adams said in a press release. "I look forward to joining the thousands of spectators who will celebrate America's birthday right here in the Big Apple."
