Wizz Air cancels a huge number of flights: what happened
Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air will cancel dozens of flights. In general, the route network in several European countries will be significantly reduced.
Dozens of flights were canceled due to problems with Pratt & Whitney engines. They are installed in Airbus aircraft.
Even before the end of the first quarter of 2024, the low-cost airline will have to ground 1/5 of its current fleet - at least 45 aircraft, according to an official statement.
Flight cancelations will change the plans of travelers from around the world. In particular, from France, Serbia, Italy, Greece, and Romania. In general, some flights will not be operated from such cities as: Belgrade, Bucharest, Catania, Craiova, Gdansk, Kaunas, London, Milan, Naples, Rome, Sofia, Vienna, Verona.
As TravelWise previously reported, Wizz Air announced the introduction of an additional flight to Cologne.
